After an encouraging EP released in 2012, Italian artist Bland Vargar present their debut release Perpetual Return. Wrapped in the natural world, all elements of the project from the band name through to the cover art give a heavy indication of what is to be found within. Nature inspired atmospheric black metal is at the foundation of Perpetual Return, but the complexities run deeper with hardy helpings of folk and acoustic injections to be found throughout.
